Once you unlock a character, you can use the special power up with any of the other characters. This makes it possible for you to use different power-ups for different characters as opposed to using one character to be able to use a certain power-up.

The characters and their special power-ups are:

• Barry Bones – his special power is the boost. It is used to propel the runner forward faster.
• Scarlett Fox – her special power up is the coin bonus, this gives the player instant 50 coins.

The coin magnet is one more power-up that can be used with any of the characters. It helps to attract coins instantly, even the ones not on the runner’s path.

Lee's daughter, Shannon, also praised the move to bring Lee to Temple Run 2, noting that he would have celebrated his 75th birthday this year.

"Not only is this a great and fun way to celebrate my father's birthday, but I'm grateful that my father’s legacy will continue to live on for fans of all ages via our partnership with Imangi," she said.

Bruce Lee, who died in 1973, most recently appeared in fighting game EA Sports UFC.

Previous non-universe characters made available for Temple Run 2 have included NFL quarterbacks Colin Kapernick and Russell Wilson, as well as speedy Olympian Usain Bolt.

Drive better
It sounds simple, sure, but "drive better" really is the best piece of advice I can give. If you want to squeeze every last drop of play out of Real Racing 3, then you need to learn the rules of the Firemonkeys road... and fast.
If you're a racing veteran, then switch off all assists so you can exert maximum control over your car. However, if you're new to the series - maybe you're trying it for the first time due to it being F2P? - then keep them on.
Every knock and scrape against cars and trackside furniture; every time you veer off the course; every fleck of burnt rubber: all of this is taken into account by the Real Racing 3 game engine. And all of those errors and misjudgements will wear your vehicle down. Trust me.
Right from the off, overtake as many opponents as possible, and don't get caught in a pile-up at the first slow corner. If you're a few feet from the bumper of the person in front, keep a watchful eye on your rival's brake lights to avoid shunting into your competitor's motor.
Whatever you do, don't drive like you would in a Destruction Derby-esque smash-a-thon. It might help you improve your position, but you'll very quickly need to head to the repair shop as a result.
Now, all of this being said, if you know it's going to be your last race for a while, and it's absolutely crucial to your victory, a cheeky nudge of an opponent might just give you the winning edge.

Drive smarter
There's a meta-game to be played here. There are things you should be keeping track of and considering when you race and upgrade to ensure you get the most play time from your Real Racing 3 experience.
Your choice of starting car doesn't make much difference to your progress, so it's just a matter of personal preference. So, whether you choose the Ford Focus or not, you need to put any lingering or longing thoughts about those supercars in the Store to the back of your mind, and concentrate instead on upgrading the one you have.
Win a race or two, and you'll have enough for a couple of improvements, so splash the cash on what you think fits your play style best. I found that a balance of upgrades to raw speed and control worked best, so if you're going to get the engine improvement, put some money down for a new set of tyres, too.
The reasoning is simple: you won't earn enough money in your starting car to advance significantly without making any upgrades to it. And the only vehicles you'll be in a position to buy (without making any upgrades) will be eligible for the exact same set of races you already have access to - yet they won't be as fast as the car you already own. To put it bluntly: you're throwing money down the toilet by ignoring this advice.
The moment - and I do mean the VERY moment - that you can purchase a new vehicle from a different set of races, though, you should buy it. By having two cars in your garage, you can play the game for twice as long as you would with just one motor in your 'fleet', and you can potentially accrue twice as much money per play session.
If you don't mind dropping dollar, there are two very cheap Packs you can purchase for a total of £4.50. These packs are called Street Spec Booster and Supercar Booster. By purchasing these packs, you will gain another two cars, thus further extending the period of time you can race before your having to quit out to wait for repairs.

Drive dirtier
Then, of course, there are the couple of underhanded tricks you can employ. They're really just game exploits, but they do run counter somewhat to the phrase 'being a good sport'. Ah, well.
If you fancy a really easy time, block your device's access to the internet (by turning off the cellular data and wi-fi connectivity in your device's settings). Yes, that Time Shifted Multiplayer (TSM) component is neat, but it does mean the difficulty is amped up. This is because you'll be competing against your friends' times; not the AI's. And, yep, the AI is rubbish.
When I was racing against pals in TSM mode, I'd usually finish around the middle of the pack. When racing against just bots, though, I'd be continually getting onto the podium without breaking a sweat.
By actively steering clear of TSM-based contests, you won't get the R$ bonuses for each friend beaten. But if you're trying to see all of the game and need a top-three finish to unlock the next set of challenges, then this naughty 'cheat' works wonders.
Finally, if you're spending some time grinding for R$, then pick races with few or zero competitors. Oh, and ones you can win easily. It's not exactly sporting to pick the same race and win it over and over again, but it's a very easy way of lining your coffers. And if there aren't any other competitors on the track, you stand little chance of taking damage.

Helicopters are the dominant mode of air transportation, and they can normally be found on top of certain buildings. The Hunter fires missiles when you press circle and fires guns when you press R1.
Pilot a Plane
The Skimmer is the only flyable plane in the game. It must take off from the water, since it has floats for landing gear. Gain speed by climbing and diving alternately, making sure not to touch down in the water again. You'll lose airspeed during turns, so be careful. Overall this vehicle is much less precise than a helicopter.
Techniques
Drive-by--If you must, you can fire a submachine gun out of your plane window. The application is severely limited though.

The controls are smooth and responsive and you can choose if you would like to control your car by tilting your device or by using the steering wheel in the game.

Taking a motorcycle is slightly different in that the method depends on your relation to the bike. If you're directly in front of a bike and press triangle, you'll leap onto the bike knocking off anyone who was previously using the machine. Just be wary that it's easy for police to do the same to you, and you'll be busted with a swift elbow.
Drive One
Bikes have a few distinct advantages over cars, but they also carry a few substantial handicaps. With a good bike, you can weave in and out of traffic with deft skill, zip down alleys that cars simply can't fit into, and even perform wheelies and stoppies. The downside is that if you hit something while on a bike, you'll go flying. Depending on the severity of your crash, you'll lose armor and health. Here are a few pointers on bikes:

• Not all bikes are created equal. There simply isn't as much variety in bikes as there is in cars. The PCJ600 is definitely the cream of the crop. It's fast, agile, and stylish. The Sanchez is fairly agile, hard to wreck, and good on dirt or sand. The Faggio and Pizza Boy are scooters with medium stats, but they're unable to perform tricks. Lastly, the Freeway and Angel are clunky bikes with a high top speed but unresponsive handling.
• Remember to use alleys and ramps. Bikes have a distinct advantage in being able to fit through narrow passages and cut through alleys. This can give you an edge over the police if you don't slam into something inadvertently.

Techniques
Shifting your weight--Pushing up lightly on the analog stick will make you hug the bike and will increase your speed, and pulling back will slow you down and decrease your speed. Other tricks are possible through shifting your weight.
Wheelie--Pull back slightly on the left analog stick and accelerate. When your wheel is off the ground, pump the gas to sustain the wheelie. Keep it up long enough and you'll get a cash bonus and a record of your stunt. Wheelies can also be used to launch your bike over walls
Stoppie--The opposite of a wheelie, a stoppie is performed by shifting your weight forward to bring your back wheel off the ground. Simply press your brake (square) and your emergency brake (R1) at the same time while holding up on the left analog stick. You'll slide forward and can change the direction you're facing. On a fast bike like the PCJ, you can reverse your direction and open fire on your pursuers with a submachine gun.
Drive-by--This works just like it does in a car, except that you can also fire ahead of you. Simply press circle to spray lead straight ahead. You can check behind you by pressing the L2 and R2 buttons simultaneously.
Rev up--This trick will allow you to get slightly quicker starts from a standstill. Hit forward and reverse simultaneously, then let go of reverse. You'll switch gears earlier than normal and thus pick up speed a bit faster.
