Teen Patti Game Guide

Teen Patti is the card game which recently has became very popular in India. you can download it free from 9game!

Here are some guides of Teen Patti Game :

Timer

There are two levels. One of them has 45 seconds and another one with 15 seconds. The same is displayed at the opponents screen also. But if time is up and any of the other player doesnot receive any response from the player who is supposed to place any bets, they report the user to the server after 15 seconds and will be subsequently kicked out from that room.

Waiting

When a player joins a game which has already started, he cannot play that game and will be able to play from the subsequent round onwards.

Muphlis

Muphlis is a variation of TeenPatti where the order of the cards are the opposite of Teenpatti. All other rules remain the same. For eg: 2-3-5 is higher than A-A-A,2-2-9 is higher than A-A-k

Best Of Four

Best of four is a variation of Teenpatti where each player gets 4 cards at the start of the game. They can then choose 3 from the 4 or discard one of the cards which he/she feels is bad. After this, these 3 cards are taken as the cards with the player and the other rules are the same as teenpatti

Imagine One

Imagine One is a variation of Teenpatti where each player gets only 2 cards as opposed to 3 cards in teenpatti. Here, the player has to imagine the best possible 3rd card which would maximise his probability of winning the game. This best combination would be taken into account while comparing the cards between the players. Rest of the rules are same as teenpatti.

AK47

AK47 is a variation of TeenPatti in which Aces, Kings, fours and sevens can be treated as JOKERS. That is you can treat them as any card you want.

Highest Card Joker

In this variation, the highest card you got can be treated as the JOKER. That is you can treat your highest card as any card you want.

Lowest Card Joker

In this variation, the lowest card you got can be treated as the JOKER. That is you can treat your lowest card as any card you want.

How To Play Teen Patti

Teen Patti is the card game which recently has became very popular in India. you can download it free from 9game!

The game can be played between 2 - n players (of course there is a limit after all there are 56 cards only)
1. Dealer Deals 3 cards to players.
2. Player either sees the cards >> SEEN
or plays without looking >> BLIND
3. First of all, each player pays an amount before starting the game.
4. Now the players play in turns in counter-clockwise direction.
5. In each turn, the player bets on his cards (its called "chaal" in india)
6. The Player can Leave current game (round) at any time >> PACK
7. The Game advances advances as the betting increases for every round.

Betting rule:
1. BLIND pays half the current betting price. He can increase the betting price if he wants
2. SEEN pays exactly the betting price. He too can increase the betting price if he wants

Player elimination,
1. Two consequetive players can decide on a "side show" where the one having lowest card value quits the current game (round)
2. Game advances till there are only two players remaining.
3. When two players are remaining, one can demand a "show" - ending the game, Total bet amount goes to winner.

I dont see much problems making this game (its still tough, but i feel i may be able to handle it)
Now what i probably have problems with is the computer AI, it has to decide stuff like:
1. Play Blind or Seen
2. Amount of money to bet on
3. When to pack
4. Bluff bet to encourage others to pack.

Winning conditions in the order:
1. Three of a Kind eg: 2,2,2 or Q,Q,Q if both players have three of a kind, player with highest card wins
2. Sequence eg: A,2,3 or K,Q,J if both players have sequence, player with highest sequence wins
3. Color (not literal meaning) eg: all spades or all Clubs. If both players have color, player with highest card wins
4. Two of a kind eg: A,A,2 or K,K,J If both players have two of a kind, player with highest card wins
5. Bogus none of the above eg: 2,K,4 or 8,10,J If both players have Bogus, player with highest card wins

Ace is the Highest, hence the Highest card sequence is A,A,A and usually players having that set bet very high and disagree for a side show too
even K,K,K is good

Teen Patti Rules

The dealer is chosen randomly and cards are dealt clockwise with players taking turns around the table. Each player can either put an additional bet into the table to stay in or bet nothing and fold. Everybody is dealt three cards and the boot is automatically deducted from each player and added to the pot at the start of the game. Pot is the collection of money at the center of the table. Players have the option to look at their hand before betting (playing seen) or to leave their cards face down on the table (playing blind). Blind players can click “see” to see their cards at any time during the game. Once a blind player sees their cards, they become a seen player. The amount that you have to put in at your turn in order to stay in the game depends on the current stake, and whether you are playing blind or seen. At the start of the game the current stake is the minimum bet. During the game, the current stake is the bet placed by the player who bet before you. If you are a blind player (you have not looked at your cards)
  • If the player that bet before you is seen, you must bet at least half of the current stake OR bet the current stake.
  • If the player that bet before you is blind, you must bet at least the current stake OR bet twice the current stake.
  • Example (when playing blind): (a) if the player before you is seen and bet 10, you can bet either 5 or 10 (b) if the player before you is blind and bet 10, you can bet either 10 or 20
If you are a seen player
  • If the player that bet before you is seen, you must bet at least the current stake OR bet twice the current stake.
  • If the player before you bet blind, you must bet at least twice the current stake OR bet four times the current stake.
  • Example (when playing seen: (a) if the player before you is seen and bet 10, you can bet either 10 or 20 (b) if the player before you is blind and bet 10, you can bet either 20 or 40
The betting continues in this way until one of the following happens:
  • All players except one fold their cards. In this case, the last surviving player wins all the money in the pot, irrespective of the cards held and his cards are not exposed to anyone.
  • All except two players fold and one of the final two players at their turn pays for a show. In this case, the cards of both players are exposed and compared and the player with the better hand wins. If both players have the same hand, the player who did not ask for the show wins.
  • A show cannot occur until all but two players have dropped out.
  • The current stake is the bet placed by the player who bet before you.
  • If you are a blind player
    • If the other player is blind, you can ask for a show for the current stake.
    • If the other player is seen, you can ask for a show for half the current stake.
    • In either case, you do not get to look at your own cards until after you have paid for the show.
  • If you are a seen player
    • If the other player is blind, you can ask for a show for twice the current stake.
    • If the other player is seen, you can ask for a show for the current stake.
  • In a show, both players' cards are exposed, and the player whose hand is higher ranking wins the pot. If the hands are equal, the player who did not pay for the show wins the pot.
You can only ask for a compromise if you and the player that bet before you are both playing seen. The player can accept or decline your sideshow request. If you don’t have enough money to match the current bet, you can’t ask for a sideshow.
  • If the sideshow request is accepted, the two players involved privately compare their cards, and the player with the lower hand is forced to fold. If the hands are equal, the player who asked for the sideshow is forced to fold.
  • If the sideshow is refused, the player requesting the sideshow must bet to stay in the game or fold.
If you run out of money, you can continue playing or fold. To continue playing, you can bring more money into the table from your main account or you can go all-in. If you go all-in, side pots are created to determine the winner(s). A side pot is separate pot to which not all players contributed and are not eligible to win. Side pots occur when a player goes all-in and other players continue to wager more than the all-in player. Separate showdowns occur for each side pot and for the main pot, and players not eligible to win a particular pot do not participate in the showdown for it.

Different Levels of Teen Patti

Teen Patti is the card game which recently has became very popular in India. you can download it free from 9game!
Image result for poker
Highest priority
  • Trio i.e. all 3 cards of the same number i.e. 3 aces, or 3 kings
  • Color Sequence i.e. 3 cards of the same suit and in sequential order e.g. 6, 7, 8 of spades.
  • Simple Sequence i.e. 3 cards in sequential order but not necessarily of the same suit e.g. 6 of hearts, 7 of diamonds, 8 of clubs. Amongst sequences the highest sequence is Ace, 2 and 3. the next highest is Ace, King and Queen. After this are all sequences is order of the cards i.e. next is King, Queen and jack and then is Queen, Jack and 10 and so on.
  • Color i.e. 3 cards of the same color (i.e. same suit), but not in sequential order e.g. 4, 6 and 8 of spades. Amongst the suites, as mentioned earlier the order is spades followed by diamonds followed by clubs followed by hearts
  • Pairs i.e. 2 of the three cards of the same number e.g. 2 aces and a 7. The ordering here is based on the order of the paired card which is based on individual card ordering as described above. (i.e. when two ‘pair’ games are to be compared, then the one with the higher pair wins)
  • Simple top card: if the cards have none of the possibilities above i.e. neither color nor sequence nor pair, then it is a simple ‘top card’ game i.e. the game is rated by the top card of the game i.e. an ‘ace top’ game is better than a ‘king top’ game. If the 2 top cards are same then the second highest card of the games is compared.
Lowest priority
This describes how to decide which 3 card game is higher in the ‘royal’ game.
Now to discuss some other rules like betting, blind , show and side-show.
Once the cards are dealt to each player, they have the option of either seeing their cards and betting money accordingly or betting money ‘blind’ i.e. without seeing their cards. The players who have seen their cards have to bet double the amount what the players who are blind are betting. At any time players can raise the stakes currently being bet e.g. if the current stake is 2 counters for seen, then a player can raise the stakes by betting 4 counters which means that the going stake will now be 4 counters and every subsequent player will have to play 4 counters if seen and 2 counters if blind. The option of playing blind is often a useful strategy, especially in some of the variations. There is certain limit set on how high the stakes can be raised. Usually, the max stake is 5 counters for blind and 10 counters for seen. There is also a limit how many rounds a player can go blind. Usually, the max number of blind rounds is 3, after which the players must see their cards.
